this is funny! yet useful. coz my spouse is none scientist too. he always tells me how to solve the problems eg measure the things accurately and plan (he's an engineer) but he doesn't get it why sometimes I fail my experiments.
wow same thing happen to me, my bf who is an engineer too ask me to look back the microarray data said it's impossible there is nothing, and even ask me to give the data to let him see. I know he is nice and trying to help me solve the problem, but sometimes, you know, it's not that easy, and you dun want to hurt him too if you reject his advise.

but your case abit funny, haha. I think "bio" logy, has sense of living form, so not everything can be explained by logical manner :p
